Plattsburgh International Airport PBG
Plattsburgh rests upon the beautiful shores of Lake Champlain in the shadow of New York’s majestic Adirondack Mountains. The city itself offers all of the services needed by the business or holiday traveler, and the airport serves as a convenient hub for northern New York State, Montreal and southern Quebec, Lake Placid and the Adirondacks and Vermont. Located on a former United States Air Force Strategic Air Command base, the location was home to squadrons of heavy bombers and refuelers until its closure in 1995.
Today, Plattsburgh International Airport (PBG) offers many amenities to the region. PBG has been owned by Clinton County since 2002 and the airport’s massive facilities have been upgraded to civilian aviation standards. The airport now boasts a state-of–the-art passenger terminal facility, abundant ramp space, and significant multi-model capabilities with dedicated access to major highways and a direct rail spur. Additionally, the airport is designated as a Foreign Trade Zone, allowing tax benefits to many enterprises. Newly renovated hangar space is available for both long- and short-term use, and Volo Aviation proudly offers our clients the same high standards and concierge-level service you have come to expect.
